Meet our instructor:

Casey Joan Kollman (CJ) is an award-winning singer, actor, dancer and music coach based in the midwest. Currently operating out of Milwaukee with plans to relocate to Chicago, she has worked professionally as a vocalist, actor, music director, ensemble director, and private lesson teacher in just the short amount of time that she has been out of her undergraduate program (Lawrence University Conservatory of Music 2024).

CJ holds degrees in Vocal Performance (BM) and Theatre Arts (BA) with a minor in Vocal Pedagogy with a focus in Choral Leadership. She has recently booked professional work with local church choirs, vocal ensembles, and theatre companies.

Recent employment in both education & performance include: Assistant Music Director of Into the Woods (Wautoma High School); Phoebe Understudy/Ensemble in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder (Kith & Kin Theatre Collective); Soprano Soloist & Section Leader (North Shore Congregational Church); Soprano (Chant Claire); Long-Term Choral Substitute & Voice Lesson Teacher (Muskego High School; Park Prairie Middle School); Short-Term Band Director (MHS); Soprano Soloist & Alto Section Leader (First Congregational United Church of Christ).

A student herself, CJ works & studies with professional actors, singers & dancers all around the country. The move to Chicago would allow for a widening of professional options, and more access to education that she will then come back and share with you!

Awards include: Danceworks, Inc. Scholarship (2025); Schubert Club Thelma Hunter Award (2024); Mississippi Opera Competition (Semi-Finalist); NATS Semifinalist (2023, 2024); Schubert Club 2nd Place Winner (2023).
